Hub Development Workshop March 29th at 6:30PM - Urban Density Proposed Regulations

The City Commission hosted a virtual Workshop on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 6:30p.m. to discuss appropriate locations for hubs (previously referred to as nodes) within the Urban Center Zoning Districts.  The roadways within these Districts include Wilton Drive, NE 26 Street, Dixie Highway, Andrews Avenue, and Oakland Park Boulevard.  Hubs are areas where higher density mixed use developments can occur that feature a pedestrian-friendly environment that fosters walkability and accessibility.

On February 25, the Wilton Manors City Commission held a workshop to discuss proposed changes to urban form and density, changes that will encourage mixed use redevelopment along the city's transit oriented corridors. This is the latest step in a process that has been ongoing for some time, and is now approaching final review.  The City is continuing to seek feedback on the proposal prior to the Commission review and final approval.
