Wilton Manors City & Community Boards
The Wilton Manors City Commission appoints members of the public to fill vacancies on various boards and citizen advisory committees that make recommendations and decisions on a variety of matters affecting our community. These appointments give Wilton Manors residents from a variety of backgrounds a chance to volunteer their skills and contribute to our municipality. Board of Adjustment

Functions
The Board of Adjustment was created for the purpose of hearing the administrative appeals of persons affected by a decision of the zoning officials and to provide relief from unnecessary hardship imposed by a literal enforcement of the Zoning Code. This is a two-year term office.

Budget Review Advisory Committee Board
Functions
This board was created to review and sustain policy issues as they relate to both current and proposed operating budgets and the seven year expenditure projects and make their recommendations to the City Commission. This is a two-year term office.

Civil Service Board
The Civil Service Board is composed of five members, three appointed by the City Commission and two elected by the civil service city employees. The purpose of the board is to make comments and recommendations of the Civil Service rules to the City Commission and also to make investigations concerning the enforcement and effect of Article XII (Civil Service) of the City's Code of Ordinances.

Community Affairs Advisory Board
Functions
The Community Affairs Advisory Board provides a vehicle to maintain a high quality of life through greater citizen participation by providing a conduit for cooperation. This is a two-year term office.

Library Advisory Board
Functions
The Library Advisory Board recommends to the City Commission Rules, Regulations and Policies to govern the maintenance and operations of the City Library. The Library Advisory Board also solicits any gifts or bequests of money and other property, books or any donations made to the Library. This is a three year term office.

Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
Functions
This board makes recommendations to the commission regarding the acquisition, development, maintenance of parks, parkways and playgrounds in the city. The employment of parks and recreation personnel (i.e., playground leaders, playground directors, supervisors, recreational superintendents, etc.) establishes rules and regulations for the operation of city recreational facilities and for fees to be charged to the public for the use of city facilities. This is a two-year term office.

Wilton Manors Pension Board of Trustees
Functions
The Board of Trustees has the sole responsibility for the exclusive administration and proper effective operation of the plan and Trust Fund under the provisions of the city pension plan. This is a two-year term office.

Planning & Zoning Board
Functions
The Planning and Zoning Board is the planning agency for the city. The board also hears applications for rezoning and re-platting and makes their recommendation to the City Commission. The board approves site plans and makes recommendation to the City Commission regarding the site plans. This is a two-year term office.
