Have you ever wanted to learn how to play the piano? Can you feel the music? Piano lessons are now being offered at Hagen Park. Individual and group lessons are available. Ages 4-adult are welcome! Lessons include performance opportunities, reading music, composition, ear training, music theory, music history and more! Classes taught by Daemon Garafalo.

Square Dancing

Yee Haa!!!  Come on out and kick up your heels for a stomping good time and learn to Circle Left/Right, Do Sa Do, Forward ... . This is a great way to meet new people, exercise, and have a lot of fun. This is a beginner’s class held every Thursday from 7:00pm – 9:30pm at Island City Park Preserve, 823 NE 28th Street in Wilton Manors. The cost is only $5.00 per class. Wing Chun Kuen Class

Wing Chun is a complete system of Self Defense and Martial Arts developed in China over 3 centuries ago.  Wing Chun Kuen is unique in that you do not need strength to do it, as the system is one of advanced techniques that are easy to do and can be used against all weights, sizes, types and strengths.  Because of this, it is suitable for men and women, and it can be learned by anyone of any shape, size, strength or age.  Wing Chun Kuen was Bruce Lee's first martial art, which he learned from Yip Man.  This is one class that will change your life, come out to Hagen Park and check it out.

Brains & Balance Past 60

Our new "Brains and Balance Past 60" program is designed for the unique needs of active older adults who know the importance of staying mentally sharp and physically stable.  This innovative program is a clever combination of specific activities designed to improve your memory, reasoning, conceptualization, language and problem solving skills along with age appropriate exercise to improve stability.  Discover how much fun "Brains & Balance" training can be while you exercise your mind and body with our specially designed curriculum.

Happy Baby Yoga Hour - Yoga for Moms and Their Babies

“Happy Baby Yoga Hour” is an all-inclusive group class that bonds parent and child together through a joyful mind and body experience. This class is a great way for parents to strengthen their bodies and calm their minds while building a special connection with their child through yoga, dance, music, games and more. Starting in July, these classes will happen on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. at Richardson Historic Park, 1937 Wilton Drive. Happy Hour with Trixie - Life Empowerment Program Using Meditation

"Happy Hour with Trixie" is an adult life empowerment program that uses meditation to reduce stress and anxiety and help you focus your energy on the more important aspects of living.  This program will provide enlightening, evolving and empowering through body movement, music, visualization, meditation and aromatherapy.  With classes being held on Monday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., you can begin your busy week by putting your focus on yourself.  Classes are $35/month or $10/class and will be located at Hagen Park Community Center, 2020 Wilton Drive.  For more information call 954-552-6221.




Island City Summer Escapes for Adults 55 and Older

Channel your adventurous spirit this summer with Island City Summer Escapes.  IF you are 55 or older, you have the opportunity to embark on three different trips: The Sawgrass Mills Mall on June 26, The Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum (Lunch at Jaxson's Ice Cream Parlor) on July 17, and Gumbo Limbo Nature Center (Lunch on Deerfield Beach) on August 21.  Transportation departs from Hagen Park, 2020 Wilton Drive, and prices vary per escapade.  Payments are due in advance and space is limited.  For more information call Wilton Manors Leisure Services at 954-390-2130.

Hula Dance Classes - Experience Hawaiian Culture

Whether you are Hawaiian or Hawaiian-at-heart, Kua'aina Pa Hula O Hawaii wants you to join them for their Hula Dance Classes on Monday nights at 7p.m. for beginners and Tuesday nights at 7p.m. for intermediate students.  Their ambition is to perpetuate and preserve the Hawaiian culture through Hula - both traditional ("Kahhiko") and modern ("Auana") forms as well as through enrichment workshops and 'Olelo Hawai'I (lessons with Hawaiian language).
