Come to the Library and learn about opportunities in the Girl Scouts. In the Girl Scouts, the next opportunity to stand up, speak up, and take the lead is never far away. With us, you’ll discover the G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-Taker, Leader)™ in you, and watch her shine, again and again.
Will you find a sustainable solution to a problem in your community? Will you explore the great outdoors? Build a robot? Learn to code? Conduct an experiment?
With the Girl Scouts, the possibilities are truly endless. Discover all you can be and everything you can accomplish when you have the right tools and a safe space to shine—and work together to change the world.
Girls age 5-17 can register as Girl Members.

You can find book discussion groups almost everywhere these days -- in bookstores, community centers, private homes, online, and at the Richard C. Sullivan Public Library. While for some, reading is a solitary activity, many find their appreciation and pleasure of a book broadened and deepened through discussion.
If you have a love for reading, and want to interact on an intellectual level and engage in interesting conversation, ask about our Island City Book Club. The group meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 PM.
