Nalu the Reading Dog is a trained, registered, and certified therapy animal who serves as a reading tutor, assisting children with a quiet presence and helping the them develop a love of reading. This gives young readers confidence with reading and helps improve reading skills.

You can find book discussion groups almost everywhere these days -- in bookstores, community centers, private homes, online, and at the Richard C. Sullivan Public Library of Wilton Manors. While for some, reading is a solitary activity, many find their appreciation and pleasure of a book broadened and deepened through discussion.

The Cities of Wilton Manors and Oakland Park have partnered to create a Joint Climate Action Plan to address and improve infrastructure and resilience into the next decades. The Cities are now seeking public input on the Plan, and will hold two joint Town Hall meetings to do so. At the meeting, residents and businesses will also learn how to make simple changes to increase their own resiliency.
