Believe it or not but the Holiday season is just around the corner and to kick it off right the City of Wilton Manors welcomes one and all to join us for our annual Holiday Lighting Celebration! Join with us in the City’s tradition of lighting the Menorah, Kinara, and of course our wonderful Wilton Manors Christmas Tree! The holiday spirit will be in abundance with plenty of music and festivities for everyone to enjoy. Come out and enjoy this event with us and our community as we celebrate “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”. The Holiday Lighting Ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 29th, at the corner of Wilton Drive and 21st Court in Jaycee Park. Plan to attend as we get the festivities started at 6:30pm. While for some, reading is a solitary activity, many find their appreciation and pleasure of a book broadened and deepened through discussion.

Nalu the Reading Dog is a trained, registered, and certified therapy animal who serves as a reading tutor, assisting children with a quiet presence and helping the them develop a love of reading. This gives young readers confidence with reading and helps improve reading skills.

The Cities of Wilton Manors and Oakland Park have partnered to create a Joint Climate Action Plan to address and improve infrastructure and resilience into the next decades. The Cities are now seeking public input on the Plan, and will hold two joint Town Hall meetings to do so. At the meeting, residents and businesses will also learn how to make simple changes to increase their own resiliency.
